Do you know might be ingesting almost 11,000 pieces of plastics per year? All of those tiny bits of plastics were belong off our clothes. This type of pollution was created when we go the laundry. Also, recent researches shows up to 700,000 microfibers can emitted from a typical 6kg vesture when washed.
By contrast, Rachal Miller and her husband devoted their time to create a gadget for capturing unnoticeable plastic pieces. The scientists notice some of organic pollutants, like polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and dichlorobiphenyl trichloroethane (DDT), can stick together, forming a nasty mix of visible pollution.
The creators of this gadget called "Cora Ball". It is constructed by recyclable material and imitate the structure of coral in the ocean. They invented many options of colours and sizes. the usual is 10cm in diameter. However, this gadget can't filter every pollution. The company says it captures between a quarter and a third of microfibers in every wash.
Undoubtedly, this invention will help the environment, however the researches couldn't stop. We should keeping improve and create new innovations to combat the pollution.

Question
Have you ever heard about this kind of pollution? What kind of changes would you do? Keep inventing gadgets to combat the pollution or change the material of our clothes? Why?
Hi
ReplyDeleteI don't understand the second question that you made.
thanks and catch you later!
Opinion: I wish I was this inventive. Sometimes, we can be unknowingly impact the environment in a harmful way. I've read in an article once that big clothing brands like Zara or H&M are causing disastrous effects because clothes are hard to break down. I think we should create more markets to recycle clothes and find a solution to make clothing in sustainable materials.
